Senior ICSS Engineer

Can you translate complex process requirements into rock-solid DCS/ESD/F&G designs that start up right the first time? Are you the go‑to person for clean logic, clear C&E, and calm troubleshooting under time pressure?

We are looking for a Senior ICSS Engineer to design, integrate, and deliver control and safety automation (DCS/ESD/F&G/SIS) for complex offshore facilities, ensuring safe, reliable operations from design through commissioning.

• Own ICSS scope across project phases (FEED, detailed design, FAT/SAT, commissioning, handover).
• Develop and review control philosophies, C&E matrices, logic narratives, alarm strategies, and HMI design.
• Specify and select DCS/PLC/SIS/F&G hardware and software, network architecture, time sync, and system redundancy.
• Lead vendor packages, prepare requisitions, perform technical bid evaluations, manage interfaces, and resolve deviations.
• Configure, test, and validate application logic (ESD/SIS per SIL targets), interlocks, permissives, and shutdown sequences.
• Coordinate ICSS interfaces with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Marine, and Package Vendor (skids).
• Plan and witness FAT/SAT, generate test procedures, punch‑lists, and close‑out documentation.
• Support site activities, loop checks, pre‑commissioning/commissioning, start‑up assistance, and troubleshooting.
• Implement cybersecurity and hardening in line with IEC 62443, align with IEC 61511 for functional safety.
• Produce deliverables (specs, data sheets, I/O lists, networks, load lists, MTOs) and maintain as‑built accuracy.
• Manage schedule, budget, and quality for the ICSS scope, report progress and risks, and drive lessons learned.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards, templates, and continuous improvement.

• Engineering degree (Automation/Control, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related).
• 5-10 years of experience in oil & gas or similar complex process facilities (offshore FPSO experience is a plus!).
• Proven hands‑on with DCS/PLC/SIS/F&G systems (e.g., ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, HIMA, Schneider, Rockwell).
• Strong knowledge of IEC 61511 (sis/LOPA/SIL) and exposure to IEC 62443 (OT cybersecurity).
• Solid experience with control philosophies, C&E, alarm rationalisation, and HMI/graphics standards.
• Track record leading FAT/SAT, pre‑commissioning/commissioning, and start‑up support.
• Comfortable managing vendor packages, interfaces, and multi‑discipline coordination.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, proactive, detail‑driven, and safety‑minded.
• Willingness to travel for vendor tests and site/yard commissioning if needed.
