As Legal Counsel within Siemens Healthineers Netherlands you will be responsible for handling various commercial legal matters (including regulatory and with special interest in Data Privacy).You will be directly reporting to the General Counsel of Siemens Healthineers Netherlands.
Legal Counsel (100%-80%) Responsibilities- Be a trusted advisor with respect to legal matters to the operational business of Siemens Healthineers Nederland B.V.
- Provide guidance and contribute to the strategy and implementation of the Siemens Healthineers business in the Netherlands
- Mitigate legal risks and help business in the mitigation of commercial risks
- Drafting, negotiating and settling commercial agreements, risk assessment and approval processes and where appropriate liaising with other members of the global Legal function
- Provide legal support for data processing agreements, be a sparring partner for the Data Privacy Coordinator on Data Privacy Legal topics for the Netherlands
- Inform the General Counsel of Siemens Healthineers Nederland B.V. Of areas which represent a legal or reputational risk
- Be comfortable as a challenger to the business when appropriate
- Demonstrate credibility in your participation and advice to the business
- Work collaboratively with Siemens Healthineers legal specialists in headquarters Germany and USA and the Siemens Healthineers global legal network as a whole
- Live core values such as integrity, respect and reliability
- Master degree in Dutch law
- A minimum of 3 years of legal work experience
- Strong legal knowledge, particularly contract law, data privacy law and public procurement law
- Relevant work experience with a strong focus on contract law for supply and service transactions, distributorship agreements, data processing agreements, software/IT agreements and collaboration & research agreements
- Interest and affinity with the Healthcare- and/or Life science Sector
- Ability to familiarise oneself with new legal fields impacting the Siemens Healthineers business
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and to set the right priorities
- You are pragmatic and hands on, excellent business acumen, and credibility
