As a Senior System Engineer, you're right in the middle of a dynamic, high performance IT environment. Yes globally! You make sure the systems are always available, secure, and fast, so everyone in the organization can get all the things done. From designing scalable infrastructure to automating workflows and monitoring critical systems, you keep everything running as fast and perfectly as possible. Every day you collaborate with other system engineers, developers, and infrastructure specialists. Together you design, build, and optimize systems that support the entire organization from workstations and servers to cloud environments, ensuring everything runs reliably, efficiently, and is future proof. You also support the implementation and rollout of global initiatives, working closely with other offices to make sure technical improvements scale worldwide.
In depth? Here we go! In this role you will design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure systems across on-premise and cloud environments, build automated workflows and integrate third-party tools to reduce manual work, implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to keep everything up and visible, troubleshoot complex system issues across network, compute, and storage layers, maintain high availability, performance, and security across all user environments, ensure strict compliance with security policies, patch management, and backup standards, and mentor junior team members while helping the team continuously improve processes and automation.
And from a more technical point of view?
Alright, the list is not endless but you'll definitely need to bring some serious skills to the table. You have at least 6 years of experience as a System Engineer in enterprise or high performance environments and deep expertise with a broad understanding of related systems and technologies. You're confident with Windows and cloud infrastructure, AWS is a plus, and you're comfortable with MacOS and Linux. Automation? You've done it and it works! PowerShell, Python, or Low Code tools are all familiar. You understand networking fundamentals, work with MDM tools like JAMF and Intune, and have a sharp eye for performance, uptime, and security. You see beyond the problem and engineer solutions that are effective at a larger scale. Documentation, handovers, and knowledge sharing? You make it understandable. By the way, Microsoft and AWS certifications are a plus.
