You will continue to develop ValidShield into the reference architecture for managed Microsoft security. From the complete Microsoft stack (all Defender solutions) to on-premises, private cloud, and OT environments. For customers with 200 to 20,000 users. From basic to DORA-proof. Your architecture will become the standard that 30+ consultants and engineers work with. Your choices will determine how dozens of customers set up their security.
The foundation is there. You build it up to enterprise level. Together with the new security team, you develop ValidShield using the latest techniques. Automation is key. You set the standards. You introduce innovations. You create the playbooks that the team works with. Your expertise, your choices, your impact.
What are you responsible for:- You design the architecture: Zero Trust native. Scalable. Future-proof. And compliant with DORA, NIS2, CIS, NIST. No theoretical pictures, but designs that engineers can use and customers can secure. You build reusable building blocks that become part of the service catalog;
- You set the course: Which technology? Which integrations? How does this cover risks? You make those choices within our Microsoft-first landscape. No endless layers of approval rounds. Your expertise determines the direction.
- You are involved from the pre-sales stage: not just during implementation, but already during the sales process. You translate complex customer questions into concrete solutions. You contribute ideas about opportunities, outline what is possible, and ensure that sales creates realistic expectations.
- You help build the portfolio: Together with Portfolio Management, you develop new services. You scan the market for innovations. You determine what Valid should build next. Microsoft announces new security features? You assess whether and how we integrate them. Defender, Purview, Intune, Nerdio, Recast: you know which tools add value.
- You share knowledge and facilitate innovation: You organize innovation sessions. You promote best practices. You ensure that the team grows in security maturity. Not just by talking, but by showing and participating.
- You are a sparring partner for CISOs: Cloud security strategy. Identity governance. XDR implementations. Compliance and risk management. You have a seat at the table where it matters.
- At least 5 years of experience in an architectural role within the Security, Modern Work, and Azure domain, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including Intune, Defender), Sentinel, and Azure/Entra;
- Strong expertise in endpoint management, such as Intune and Defender, with extensive experience in designing secure, scalable workplace environments;
- Knowledge of security, cloud governance, on-premises environments, and our customers' production environments, including CIS baselines and reference frameworks such as the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and Microsoft reference architectures, NIST, DORA, NIS2; including CIS baselines and reference frameworks such as the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and Microsoft reference architectures, NIST, DORA, NIS2;
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management: you switch effortlessly between IT teams, management, and technical engineers in Dutch and English;
