ABOUT THE ROLEAs Product Owner for our Thirdparty team, you are responsible for transforming business process requirements into actionable tasks for our development team. You will need to be able to thoroughly understand the complex European business process regarding market coupling, particularly for clearing and settlement. Your key responsibility will be to prioritize these requirements and maintain a transparent product roadmap that guides the development process. You will enjoy building and structuring the platform and are expected to take a proactive role in its development.
Responsibilities- Understand and translate financial and physical settlement process aspects of our products into clear tasks.
- Execute an internal roadmap whereby CORE system functionality of our trading platforms will be migrated to the Thirdparty team’s responsibility.
- Partner with the other PO’s and the CTO to integrate feedback into the product roadmap, negotiating trade-offs between conflicting priorities.
- Dive deep into European market processes and our IT platform to translate business requirements into clear tasks for the development team.
- Collaborate daily with team members and stakeholders to clarify business needs, remove obstacles, and ensure alignment on the product strategy.
- Guide the team in implementing the roadmap and support the Agile ceremonies for smooth execution.
- Ensure user stories are well‑defined and manageable for developers of varying experience levels.
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or IT.
- At least 4+ years of experience in product or project management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and working within development teams.
- Hands‑on, self‑organized, and communicative, with the ability to thrive in a startup/scale‑up environment.
- High‑level understanding of DDD, TDD, and event sourcing, with some programming knowledge and experience working with developers.
- Experience with complex IT systems and trading in the energy sector is a plus.
- Strong grasp of digital technologies and data management, capable of following technical discussions and ensuring requirements are met.
- Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working with business and technical teams.
- A valid EU work permit is required.
