Room Mate Aitana opened its door in August 2013 and counts 285 spacious, bright and luxurious rooms, meetings rooms, a ballroom, a gym, lounge, a marina and hosts a restaurant with Spanish and Mediterranean food with a modern twist.
We are looking for a fulltime Housekeeping Supervisor, to help the Housekeeping team keep Aitana's home clean and tidy at all times! The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures a perfect guest experience by making sure our rooms and public areas are cleaned to the excellent standards of Room Mate Hotels.
What will you do:
Supervising, training and motivating cleaning staff (internal and external)
Promoting and sustaining a culture of excellence, loyalty, trust and respect
Checking rooms according to our standards and ensure speedy turnover
Sharing feedback on overall room quality with management and maintenance team
Communicating and coordinating with other departments (mostly Front Office and Maintenance) to ensure the best possible guest experience
Providing service to hotel guests, following up on reported issues
Our ideal Roomie has the following qualities:
Previous experience as Housekeeping Supervisor or in a hotel Housekeeping department is a big plus
Finished MBO level equivalent education, preferably in Hotel management
Available for fulltime work, also on weekends
Positive and flexible ‘can do’ attitude
Energetic and vibrant personality
Natural leadership abilities
Excellent command of English and preferably also Dutch or more languages
Lives in Amsterdam or greater Amsterdam area
In possession of EU nationality or valid Dutch work permit
