Job Description
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the enterprise data architecture to support the organization's business goals. You will play a critical role in translating strategic requirements into scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across systems. The role combines a strong technical foundation with stakeholder management and strategic thinking.
- Design and maintain the company's data architecture framework, standards, and principles.
- Develop and optimize data models, pipelines, and integrations across cloud and on-premise platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI, Data Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders) to define data requirements and governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and security best practices.
- Evaluate new tools, technologies, and data platforms to support ongoing innovation.
- Support the transformation to a modern, cloud-based data landscape.
The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Architect or similar senior data role.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT design, and database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, SQL, Databricks).
- Proven experience working in complex data environments, ideally in the energy or industrial sector.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must - the role involves collaboration across both local and international teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
