We are looking for an entrepreneurial Product Owner to lead our ServiceNow Platform teams at NN and help us achieve our goal of becoming a socially responsible tech company that delivers digital products our customers love.

What you are going to do

As a Product Owner for the ServiceNow Platform teams, you will be responsible for providing a stable ServiceNow platform and enabling the entire company to solve business problems through ServiceNow. You will empathize with (senior) business and IT stakeholders, define their needs and problems and lead your product team to design and build solutions that help drive business value. At NN Group, ServiceNow serves as the most important business and IT enabling platform. It supports IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, IT Security Operations and hosts several custom apps via a portal in support of critical internal processes like Human Resources, Facility Management and Procurement. Your scope of responsibilities is split between two empowered product teams:

The ServiceNow Foundation team

The ServiceNow Foundation team is responsible for providing a stable, performant and secure ServiceNow platform for the entire company. Their activities include:

  • LCM for the platform
  • Platform governance by setting standards and defining patterns
  • Implementing security measures
  • Building platform integrations
  • Management and improvement of ServiceNow modules and apps
The ServiceNow Enablement team

The ServiceNow Enablement team is targeted at enabling builders on top of ServiceNow and the development of new custom apps and modules on the platform. Their activities include:

  • Enabling citizen development
  • Improving portal UX
  • Functional management of several modules, like IT Service Management
  • Onboarding new customers (e.g. Business units and countries)
  • Developing new initiatives (e.g. Scoped apps)
  • Providing application development guidelines and guardrails

In the future ServiceNow will continue to have an important role in NN's platform strategy as it provides meaningful abstractions to solve business problems, allows the company to leverage AI at scale while remaining in control and provides the backbone for the enterprise management plane. As the Product Owner, you will drive this transformation with your vision and strategy. We aspire to provide a platform that allows business and IT teams to conveniently solve their challenges through our toolkit, with limited cognitive load and friction. Through these activities you will have a significant positive impact on NN's Future Ready aspiration, by enabling platform solutions that solve hard problems in a standardized and centralized manner.

You will engage with senior leaders within the organization (e.g. Architects, C-level executives and Product Managers) to design and implement an effective strategy. You empathize with end users and create cross-organizational partnerships that ensure ServiceNow effectively solves real problems for the company and creates value. At the same time, you will partner with the Domain Architect for ServiceNow and the Product Manager for the NN Engineering Experience & Platforms domain.

Who you will work with

The ServiceNow Platform teams are part of the Engineering Experience & Platforms domain within Group IT. This domain is responsible for optimizing the NN engineering experience for the entire company by delivering a frictionless and integrated engineering journey through the Internal Developer Platform and supporting the software delivery lifecycle with CI/CD solutions. While also offering several reliable platforms that provide integration or hosting solutions (e.g. API Gateway and Kubernetes). We serve DevOps teams within NN globally and we can measure our success using the DORA metrics (amongst others). We are successful when DevOps teams optimize their performance on deployment frequency, change lead time, change failure rate, mean time to recover. Aside of course from delivering a positive impact to developer happiness across the company. The domain is product focused and consists of empowered engineers and product teams.
