Nice, how can I help?

In this role, you make sure essential IT systems run smoothly so customers stay connected without a glitch. You're always watching service health across RAN, Core, Transport, and BSS/OSS. Using real-time monitoring and predictive analytics, you catch and fix issues before they affect users. If something does go wrong, you take charge from start to finish-rerouting traffic seamlessly and leading root cause analysis to keep it from happening again.

You act as the bridge between tech and business, working closely with infrastructure, network, and commercial teams to align KPIs like uptime, churn, ARPU, and NPS with strategic goals. You mentor engineers on DevOps and SRE best practices and participate in on-call rotations to guarantee 24/7 coverage of critical IT systems. Your responsibilities include supporting audits, leading SLA reviews, and providing comprehensive end-to-end service data to governance boards. Owning process improvements and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements are also key parts of your role, all while coaching engineers.

Sounds good, what do I need to bring to the table?

Some things you either have or you don't. No book or diploma can teach you all of this. Missing a few? No worries, nobody's perfect.

Here's what you (might) bring:

  • Bachelor's in IT, or experience that counts just as much
  • 8+ years doing service assurance or IT ops in the communication networks industry
  • Solid knowledge of networks, services, and IT ecosystems
  • Hands-on with monitoring tools like Netcool, Zabbix, Dynatrace, Splunk, or SolarWinds
  • Proven track record managing both tech SLAs and business KPIs across different squads
  • ITIL (v3/v4) savvy, certifications a big plus
  • Experience with AIOps, automation, digital ops platforms (that's a bonus)

Extra points if you got:

  • ITIL Foundation, Intermediate or Expert certs
  • TM Forum Frameworx (eTOM, SID, TAM)
  • PMP or PRINCE2 project management badges
  • Cloud certs like AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Data or analytics certifications

I have to pay my bills, what do I get in return?
