In this role, you make sure all critical IT services run all the way from networks and billing to customer platforms. You lead the entire IT service management process, handling incidents, problems, changes, and releases to keep everything working across mobile and fixed services. Service assurance is key, so you fix issues quickly, reduce repeat problems, and boost important numbers like activation success and customer satisfaction. On top of that, you manage APIs by working closely with architects and developers to keep them reliable, safe, and performing well. You track key performance data and share it with leadership to push for improvements.
Meanwhile, you keep vendors on track with their commitments and collaborate with field operations, customer service, and the operations team to cut down complaints and repeat calls by finding smart, lasting fixes and adding automation where possible. Using monitoring tools gives you real-time insights to spot problems early and even set up automatic fixes. Plus, you lead and coach a team of service assurance managers, making sure everyone works well together and stays focused on delivering the best service every day.
Sounds good, what do I need to bring to the table?
It is a senior role so you have to bring the expertise and confidence. But some things you either have or you do not. No book or diploma can teach you everything. Missing a few? No worries, nobody is perfect.
Here's what you (might) bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Communications, Engineering, or a related field
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in IT Service Management, preferably in communications IT operations, including at least 5 years in leadership and team management within a communications environment
- Proven experience managing end-to-end service assurance teams and vendor partners
- ITIL v3 or v4 Expert certification
Strong background in OSS/BSS platforms, service orchestration, and incident/fault management
Understanding of APIs, integration platforms, and system interoperability
Extra points if you got:
- Familiarity with API management tools such as Apigee, WSO2, Mulesoft, or AWS API Gateway
- Experience with Amdocs, NetCracker, CSG, or other large-scale billing and CRM systems
- Certifications in PMP, Six Sigma, ISO 20000, or COBIT -Exposure to cloud operations, continuous integration and deployment, and DevOps or Agile practices
