Are you up for the challenge to create a seamless digital user experience for our retail customers who visit NN.nl for inspiration, product information and support? Then join the NN.nl team and help to achieve our ambitions. Together we can make a difference!

Ensuring the optimal user experience for our customers: that's your mission. Together with your colleagues, you use your UX design skills to quickly turn customer problems into solid proposals for improvement which address both customers and business needs!

What you're going to do

As the UX designer for NN.nl you are responsible to safeguard a uniform and delightful customer experience on NN.nl. You'll be helping your team in solving real customer problems by contributing to the UX design process, from discovery to validation. Topics you'll be working on are:

  • Designing and improving structure, navigation, search, interactive tools, templates, components and screens and landing pages using the NN Design System to ensure your design match our brand
  • Improving online self-service and contact features for our retail customers
  • Supporting the execution of user research and utilize insights so we can turn problems into validated solutions. You're a sparring partner to the NN Research team
  • Helping around in workshops and creative sessions (like a Design Sprint)

Who you are

You're someone that looks for collaboration and likes contributing to shared objectives. You see opportunities to realize improvements and can persuade your stakeholders with arguments and energy. You take ownership of design and can balance between customer and business needs. Further it goes without saying you bring:

  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree
  • 2+ years of UX Design experience (preferably in an Agile setting)
  • Knowledge of and experience with user-centred design processes (double diamond)
  • Experience with UI design and applying design systems
  • Experience with modern design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma (Enterprise)
  • Dutch proficiency at C2 level

Who you will work with

You'll be part of team Retail which is one of the departments within our central Customer & Digital business unit. C&D connects the other business units (e.g. Bank, Insurance, Pensions) of Nationale-Nederlanden with our joint customers. C&D looks after all generic systems, platforms, capabilities and service desks to support our retail, business and intermediary customers. On a daily basis you'll support the NN.nl experience team, an empowered product team consisting of a product owner, front-end engineers and content specialists who are responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent digital experience for NN.nl. The NN team is also responsible for growing inbound engagement on life events on NN.nl by creating compelling content.

As a UX designer, you closely collaborate with the Customer Researchers and the Design System team. This allows you to spend more time on solving real customer problems and applying the full UX design process.

Outside C&D and the NN.nl team, you're a member of the NN Design Guild. With over 70 designers from all corners of the company, we discuss our craft and make sure we keep learning and developing together. All designers get together on a regular basis for knowledge sharing, inspiration sessions, and co-creation. This way, we always have creative minds to spar with. And of course, we often organize social gatherings, which are always fun!
