Role and responsibilities
As Business Control Specialist you focus on ensuring a safe, secure and compliant way of working, a.o. By identifying and managing risks in the field of problem loan management and loan loss provisioning. In addition, you will ensure internal and external audits and regulatory onsites run smoothly.

They key responsibilities for the role are:
- Identifying, assessing and managing risks in the field of problem loan management and loan loss provisioning;
- Control testing and quality assurance to increase standardization, consistency and quality of our client file management and documentation.
- Ensuring that internal and external audits and regulatory onsites run smoothly.
- Preparing and presenting periodical updates to management.
- Realizing improvements from your expertise together with various colleagues in and outside the Tribe.
Your Tribe and team
The client facing Credit Restructuring and Recovery Tribe is positioned within CRO DBNL. We are specialized in supporting clients that are experiencing financial difficulties. For example, because of unexpected market changes, think of the impact of Covid, the invasion in Ukraine, elevated inflation, increasing energy prices and rising interest rates. We carefully and actively focus on minimizing losses both for our customers and ING. You will be part of the Business Intelligence and Quality Assurance Team. This team focuses in a nutshell on identifying and managing (non) financial risks in the management of restructuring and recovery loans and the generation of loan loss provisions. We ensure a safe, secure and compliant way of working and focus on growing as data driven organization.

Furthermore, you have/are:
- Current residency in the Netherlands and are fluent in Dutch and English as all communication in this role is in Dutch
- 2-3 years experience with process management (Green Belt or Black Belt is a pre), risk management and working with data
- Ideally, you have experience with Business Lending or Credit Restructuring and Recovery processes
- Curious, proactive, professionally critical and want to get to the bottom of things
- An entrepreneurial mindset and are result-oriented, you to take it on and make it happen
- Able to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- Pro actively communicate about progress and present results in an attractive way
- A team player who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals
