Tech Lead Core Banking Output Services (W&R Financing Tribe)
The W&R Tech division supports the Wholesale & Rural bank across the globe.
The Financing Tribe within W&R delivers and supports global critical business systems. Our technology is a combination of 'home grown' applications, Oracle FlexCube and various other package based solutions.
You and your job
As Tech Lead within the Financing Tribe you are responsible for leading and coaching several DevOps squads with the aim to improve the overall experience of the wholesale and rural client journeys and to deliver on the critical execution priorities as defined by the bank. Together with the product owners, architects, DevOps teams and your colleague Tech Leads you will realize the ambitions of W&R.
You are primary responsible for IT Delivery, ensuring compliance to our risk and security standards. Considering the international scope of Wholesale & Rural (W&R) the importance of stakeholder management is evident. Together with the product owner and solution architect you ensure that priorities are set, define roadmaps and meet the objectives as defined by the Financing Tribe. You will identify, initiate and execute process improvements and coach your squads on their journeys.
Within the Financing Tribe, you will join the Core Banking Production Services area and with the following responsibilities:
- Vision on, and development of, the Operational Data Store (ODS). Developing data definitions for input of data into ODS to accommodate standardised and unified information sharing to internal and external parties related to the corporate bank. ODS is the source that feeds both internal and regulatory reporting and forms the basis for the provisioning of API's.
- Supporting the W&R Financing squads in following up on the Tech strategic objectives, executing and accelerating DevOps Automation, Test Automation and Cloud migrations. Enabling the tribe to stay secure and compliant from an IT perspective
- HR responsibility for the internal Tech personal within the agile squads, including performance management and recruitment;
- Facilitating professional development of expertise and continuous growth as part of DevOps journey within the agile squads;
- Developing and maintaining tooling for, and the execution of, migration of data from existing applications to the new Core Banking solution
- Stakeholder management & collaboration over IT departments and with the business (specificly with product owners)

You and your talent
We are looking for a people oriented Tech Lead with well-developed collaboration skills and who is result-driven and able to make an impact. The following additional characteristics are important:
- Strong business partner who is able to balance requirements and risks and to stand ground in challenging situations;
- Academic working and intellectual level in the field of Computer Sciences or Business Administration;
- At least
5 years
of experience in the IT sector; - Experienced in team building and management of teams;
- Strong in judgement & decision making
- Able to provide structure, good organiser
- Affinity with banking business processes and objectives;
- Good command of English (business level);
- Knowledge of and experience with
Scrum, Lean and BusDevOps
; - Knowledge of and experience with development, testing, deployment and monitoring methods;
- Experience with different delivery models from
local to nearshore and offshore
