This is what your assignment looks like

Being a part of Basic-Fit's Second Line of Defense you'll be optimizing and maintaining the internal control framework (ICF) across Basic-Fit. You will report to Internal Control Framework Manager, representing the Risk and Control Office. This function, together with the Data Protection Officer, Compliance Officer and the IT Security team, form the Basic-Fit's Second Line of Defense.

Your responsibilities will be:

Your key objective will be to shape and facilitate the internal control monitoring cycle. This includes:

• Develop and maintain process narratives and controls for Basic-Fit's key processes, including new business initiatives

• Evaluate processes and controls by conducting control design workshops and control self-assessments, collecting and analyzing control evidence, assessing control deficiencies and following-up with the business

• Monitoring the status of internal and external auditors' findings and follow-up with the business.

You drive improvements together with control- and process owners, by promoting and maintaining control awareness and control discipline in the organization. You ensure timeliness and completeness of control review cycle, which, in turn, facilitates effective and prompt reporting to management and the Board on the ICF status.

In addition to this you will:

• Evaluate compliance with existing Basic-Fit policies and procedures, identifying and proposing modifications as needed

We ask:

You have a 'can-do'-attitude and resilient charactar with the ability to be pragmatic in pursuing your goals. You thrive in dealing with multiple perspectives and approaches and are persuasive in a friendly manner.

Furthermore, we're asking:

• A completed Bachelor / Master degree at HBO or higher, in business administration, international business, business economics, finance, risk management, or accountancy;

• 1-3 years working experience in risk management, audit and/or internal controls, preferably in a rapidly growing organization; 

• You are proficient in either English or Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
