System Engineer

Berkel en Rodenrijs, Rotterdam area.

Salary
Salary indication from €3.900,- to €5.300,- gross per month. Depending on knowledge and work experience. 

Wij zoeken

• You have approximately five to ten years of work experience in a similar position;
• You are available 32-40 hours per week;
• You are able to work at least 3 days a week at the office in Berkel en Rodenrijs;
• You Preferably have knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft (Server, Azure, Clients, Teams, Intune), SQL and Network/Firewall;
• You master the Dutch and English language in word and writing.

As System Engineer, you are the landscape owner of an expanding WAN across several continents. Currently, about thirty branches from twelve countries are connected to the central systems and more than 1600 workstations are supported.

You and your team manage more than 175 virtual servers within VMWare or Machine Creation and 17 physical servers. The environment further consists of 2 active data centers and a NetApp metro cluster. With SCOM monitoring on the software and hardware layer, you implement a management by exception policy. Together with your team you are the point of contact for incidents and changes. Incidents are analyzed and if necessary immediately fixed or permanently improved at a quiet moment. The infrastructure team is also the point of contact for our IT Service Desk and external technicians and consultants who perform specialized tasks on the systems. 

You are involved in the risk analysis of proposed changes and renewals. Furthermore, you make problem analyses and maintain the Citrix terminal server environment.
