Job Purpose and Impact
The Category R&D Leader - Food & Beverages will provide strategic leadership to coach and develop a technical service team to deliver business goals. In this role, you will cultivate a culture to drive process improvements and guide the team to leverage supporting tools and metrics to identify, prioritize, report on and deliver the portfolio of new business development projects from a Cargill Food Solutions EMEA, category and customer perspective.
Key Accountabilities
• Provide strategic leadership to application development activities and ensure all projects have appropriate resources allocated and are compliant with applicable regulations.
• Deliver the financial goals supporting the category/PL plans for the year, aligned with the GTM teams.
• Partner with business leaders to develop strategy of customer segmentation and assess potential value creation and optimization.
• Partner with business to build category innovation roadmaps and ensure flawless execution.
• Develop strong technical services relationships with customers and provide coaching to the team in building customer relationships and anticipating customer needs.
• Lead the development of tools and processes to provide technical training for related teams and enable optimized technical services for customers.
• Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific, technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Confirmed experience with ingredient technical services, applications or a similar discipline
• Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience in matrix organization
• Open to travel up to 30%
• Fluent in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• PhD or Master's degree in scientific discipline, MBA or similar educational degree
• At least 8 years of supervisory experience and strong change management experience
• Experience in working to create networks of talent driving together to a common purpose
• Experience and proven track record of managing and developing high performing teams
• Experience with leading a multi-national/cultural environment
• Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills to develop and cultivate deep customer relationships
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Ability to understand the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, focusing on continuous improvement
• Ability to make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory, information to effectively solve problems
• Fluent in other languages.
