Your mission

As a front-runner in digital construction, BAM is dedicated to maintaining comprehensive control over the compliant and cost-effective utilization of our software assets. Our international IT Enterprise Architecture & SAM team, servicing NL, UK, Ireland, and Belgium, is currently in search of a Software Asset Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maximizing the value of our software investments, overseeing assets from contractual, financial, compliance, risk, and usage perspectives.

Key Objectives of Software Asset Management at BAM:

• Establishing a robust software asset management practice.
• Ensuring license compliance.
• Increasing license utilization and preventing unnecessary purchases.
• Implementing measures to ensure ongoing license compliance.
• Keeping the Software Asset Management Repository up-to-date.

As a Software Asset Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Providing support to business and IT representatives, aiding them in understanding and optimizing their software license usage.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating compliance risks.
• Analyzing software assets for compliance, entitlements, and usage.
• Advising business representatives on optimal software license usage.
• Monitoring license usage, reporting, and managing follow-up actions.
• Advancing the maturity of Software Asset Management practices.
• Managing and maintaining the software assets repository.

Tasks associated with this role include:

• Stakeholder management on an international scale.
• Networking and building relationships with key business and IT stakeholders.
• Communication and advising at various organizational levels.
• Supporting the software demand process.
• Assisting in the purchasing, ordering, and delivery of software.
• Supporting Application Portfolio Management.
• Providing assistance for compliance checks and internal/external audits.

We are looking for an energetic and ambitious person who wants to contribute to the growth and success of Software Asset Management within BAM.
 
You recognize the following characteristics:

• You have at least have a bachelor's degree and more than 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management;
• You have a passion for Software Asset management;
• You are communicative (Dutch and English), enterprising and result-oriented;
• You have persuasiveness, flexibility and perseverance;
• You are creative, solution-oriented and stress resistant;
• You can work well with colleagues, external suppliers, clients and you can provide guidance and advice.

Your work environment

This position gives you a very varied, international, challenging and rewarding range of tasks and responsibilities. You work together your colleague software manager. You will be part of the Enterprise Architecture & Software Asset Management team that reports both to the NL IT division and the UK/I division. You report to the Lead Enterprise Architect of BAM. The position is based at the company's head office in Bunnik, the Netherlands
