The successful candidate will be responsible for the Demand Plan for our Business Unit Private Label. The role reports hierarchically to the Business Unit Manager Private Label, and functionally to the Team Lead Demand Planning. The Business Unit Private Label is a team (around 15 FTE), which includes all the roles (sales, product development) required to drive our Private Label business within Bolsius. Through strong daily functional cooperation with the other Demand Planners and the Supply Planners, the Demand Planner will be part of a team aiming to maximize delivery performance towards our customers, while minimizing total supply chain costs, considering all the risks and opportunities we foresee. It is a role in-between Sales, Product Management and Supply Chain (supply planning, production and procurement).
Tasks and responsibilities
Among the position’s main responsibilities, you will analyze changes in demand and all other relevant data to create the best possible sales forecast. You will align on changes in demand with Sales, including risks and opportunities, and communicate these internally. You will drive the monthly process of Demand Review and Sales Input Meetings, and will set up and monitor (statistical) models at the SKU level to help in optimizing your Demand Plan. You will be responsible for collecting input from Sales and Product Management and processing this into the Demand Plan. You will also monitor actuals vs. plan and the related KPIs (forecast accuracy/bias and excess/obsolete stocks), to initiate and drive actions to reach our goal. The Demand Plan is also used for our financial forecast.
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or Supply Chain Management. You are interested in a career in planning, and are knowledgeable about operational and commercial processes. You are fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent numerical and quantitative skills (excellent Microsoft Excel skills is a must). You must be familiar with (Demand-) Planning processes (IBP, S&OP), and with related IT-systems.
