Your new companyYour new organization and our client is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant. Your new employer is an international fast growing organization operating in the medical devices industry. They are innovative and mainly focused on developing minimally disruptive surgical products and procedures for the spine. Their mission is to improve the lives of patients who suffer from debilitating back, neck, or leg pain by creating cutting-edge products and procedures that revolutionize spine surgery. The Amsterdam office and team is responsible for all the finance and accounting activities for the international business with a focus on central Europe consisting of the Benelux and surrounding countries. In this role you will be a valued business partner to the Executive Vice President International, the Financial Manager EMEA and a valued member of the team. Considering the situation and the complexity we are recruiting a firm Senior Financial Accountant who can hit the ground running.Your new role Within your new role you will be responsible for the preparation of accounting records in accordance with local and US GAAP. You will analyze and track any differences from US GAAP to the Local GAAP. Obviously you will be responsible for the monthly closing of the accounting ledger within the overall corporate timelines and maintain the controlled ERP environments in addition to generating trial balances and financial statement data. You will additionally record transactions within the Trading Company and commercial entities with timeliness and accuracy and coordinate activities to record within the overall team. You will maintain the Fixed Asset Register, focused on the accounting for your employers capitalized surgical instruments managed within the country and loaned for surgical procedures and thus will have to recognize monthly depreciation. The accounting for loaned assets also involves the maintain schedules and analysis supporting accounting areas that cover revenue recognition, inventory obsolescence, prepaid assets and accrued liabilities. You will also act as super user for the ERP systems relative to the financial modules and provide guidance as appropriate to the International Finance & Accounting colleagues. Last but not least, you will facilitate the requirements of Internal and External (corporate and statutory) audits and compile the local financial statements and reported information for government reporting.
