At DACHSER, we’re a global family powering over 83 million shipments every year—from fashion to life-saving medical supplies. Ranked among the world’s top logistics providers, we don’t just move goods—we keep the world connected.

What really sets us apart? Our people. Here, your ideas matter, your energy fuels success, and you’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that’s shaping the future of logistics.

Purpose Of the Role:

To support the UK & IRE HR Manager in the development and administration of a professional and integrated HR strategy and plan that meets the business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, supporting a wide range of people matters in line with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Support employee relations activities, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and wellbeing cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  • Coordinate payroll processes, collating and submitting accurate information within agreed deadlines and responding to payroll-related queries where required.
  • Maintain employee records and HR administration, ensuring all documentation is accurate, secure, and compliant with GDPR and company policies.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and providing a positive employee experience from day one.
  • Produce HR reports, people data, and KPI information to support business decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Manage training records and support the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development activities across the business.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and colleagues across all departments, providing a professional, proactive, and customer-focused HR service.
  • Support the Regional HR Manager UK & Ireland with HR projects, policy development, people initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work independently, taking ownership of key HR processes while contributing to the success of the wider HR team and supporting business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent HR experience gained within a generalist HR environment).
  • A resilient and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate challenging situations effectively.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
  • The confidence and self-motivation to work independently, while also collaborating effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Proven experience managing a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, and conflict resolution cases.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and support stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and work effectively across different functions and departments.
  • A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and its practical application in the workplace.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
