Purpose Of the Role:
Record all training accurately in the database and maintains safe systems of work and risk assessments. Works with UK departments to ensure consistent Health & Safety standards. Delivers internal Health & Safety training, supports inductions, and carries out MHE and competency assessments. Follows processes efficiently to meet customer requirements and is responsible for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring safe storage of goods in line with all legal and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
- Accurately checking and verifying all load documentation
- Labelling goods and transporting them to designated storage areas
- Working collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is kept clean and serviceable
- Carrying out handballing and de-topping of goods as required
- Using scanning systems to accurately record and track pallet movements
The ideal candidate will have
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong planning and organisational abilities
- Effective problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a strong level of accuracy
- Proficient IT skills
- Committed to delivering a high standard of customer service
- Strong time management skills
- Adaptable and able to respond positively to change
- Confident and approachable manner
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a reach truck (D2 licence)
