Position overview
Provide in-dealership, instructor-led brand, product and skills training to Porsche Center retail staff that aligns with established Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) strategic objectives. In addition, provide on-site training support at all Product Launch Training Programs.
Roles & responsibilities
- Deliver non-technical (brand, skills, product) training at dealerships, other venues within the assigned territory, and virtually. Training topics include new model launch support, vehicle technology, reinforcement of Brand Ambassador concepts, proprietary dealer systems, customer satisfaction initiatives, and sales funnel management.
- Assist dealership management with the development and execution of dealership training plans.
- Work with PCNA Academy team, Porsche AG colleagues, other Porsche subsidiaries and various PCNA departments to assist in the development of dealership web-based and Instructor-led curriculum for dealership employees.
- Work with internal PCNA departments and other subsidiaries in the development of web-based and Instructor-led curriculum for PCNA employees.
- Support and/or conduct other non-technical training in collaboration with PCNA training providers.
- Observe dealership process activity and provide feedback/training to improve performance.
- Solicit and aggregate dealership feedback on training needs and provide recommendations to PCNA Academy.
- Monitor all technical and non-technical certification KPIs for all dealerships within the territory and provide counsel to dealership management in support of achieving stated training certification targets.
- Manage administrative aspects of the course enrollment process.
- Secure appropriate training venues and manage/conduct site setup activities.
- Work as an integral team member within PCNA Academy to assure the highest standards of curriculum quality and consistency are maintained.
- Develop a Porsche Center training calendar and travel schedule to provide sufficient in-dealership training activities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required – Business, Marketing or Education preferred
Experience:
- Five or more years of experience in automotive training in a dealership and corporate environment. Retail automotive experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Successful candidate will have a wide-ranging background in automotive industry with corporate and retail knowledge.
- Ability to be on-site at major Product Launch Training Programs for up to 4-5 weeks at a time.
- Nominee must have rich experience in automotive training and facilitation.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven record of accomplishment with program leadership.
- Strong ability to foster productive relationships with both domestic and international colleagues.
- Responsible for the proper usage of, awareness of, and compliance with Information Technology security policies at Porsche Cars North America.
- Seeks to ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
