In our headquarters in Düsseldorf we are looking for you as
TASKS WITH IMPACT
The Assortment & Purchasing team at DOUGLAS is responsible for shaping the product assortment across the entire customer journey – from planning to optimal presentation at the point of sale. We make data-driven decisions that continuously drive category development and ensure a consistent brand experience for our customers.
- You are primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, management, standardization, and optimization of store layouts and assortments for new store openings as well as store refurbishments.
- You work closely across functions with the departments Category Management, Project Management, International Store Experience, Commercial Excellence, and Sales.
- You prepare revenue and potential estimations based on sound analyses and reports for site and location evaluations.
- You develop and conduct potential analyses to identify revenue opportunities through brand and space implementations in existing stores.
- You ensure a continuous flow of information and regularly coordinate with relevant suppliers regarding projects and placements.
- You create store layouts using the space management tool Hoffrogge, taking into account shopper insights and defined placement guidelines.
YOUR SKILLS

Alongside these competencies, we’re looking for the following skills:
- Ideally, you bring experience in retail, preferably with a focus on store and sales floor planning, POS brand placements, or category management.
- You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or, alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship combined with solid professional experience.
- You possess strong analytical skills and work in a solution-oriented manner based on key KPIs.
- You enjoy project-based work and demonstrate a good understanding of end-to-end retail processes.
- You are confident in using standard MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Ideally, you have knowledge of market environments, customer needs, and current trends in the beauty retail sector.
- You are fluent in German and English and have strong communication and negotiation skills.
