As an Engineering Project Manager you will be supporting the planning and execution of highly complex engineering projects for the continued expansion of our EU fulfillment network.

If you are excited about state-of-the-art material handling systems, project management and hands-on project execution experience, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the successful launch of new Fulfillment Center and expansions around Europe. You will understand all aspects of an Amazon Fulfillment Center while focusing on its automation technologies (conveyance, sortation, robotics) and storage solutions. This position will have frequent interaction with multiple internal teams and external partners and requires good social skills to effectively build and handle the relationship with our contractors.

· Support large-scale engineering projects (planning, design, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support)
· Assess and communicate project status including potential risks and delays across multiple teams
· Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to plan and track deliverables
· Perform data analysis and technical design reviews, identify and carry out innovative solutions that meet both business needs and global design standards
· Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners
· Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as World Wide Engineering, Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, IT and Procurement


· Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or related discipline
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment, to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload even when faced with conflicting priorities
· Strong bias for action, with willingness to roll up sleeves and get things done
· An methodical approach to identify technical problems and define improvements
· Ability to engage internal teams and experience to work with partners outside of the organization
· Advanced Microsoft Excel
· Fluency in English and German required
· Flexibility to travel on average 50% across projects in Europe


· Knowledge about automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
· Project Management experience
· Good working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and related software
· Fluency in EU languages
