The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role:
As a Construction Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations. You will handle standard bookkeeping alongside sector-specific duties, with a strong focus on project costing and managing subcontractor payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Process and match supplier and subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Project Costing: Allocate material, plant hire, and labour costs to the correct project codes to ensure precise job costing.
Payment Runs: Prepare weekly or monthly payment runs for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring retentions are tracked and applied correctly.
Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and supplier statement reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies quickly.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an accounts assistant or bookkeeping role within the construction sector (preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero / Sage 50 / Sage 200 and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Studying towards or holding an AAT qualification (desirable).
Experience of systems such as Procore and/or Zero would be a real advantage.
