The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer with our client, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians. Contributing to the design, analysis and delivery of engineering projects of varying scale and complexity. This is an excellent opportunity to build your professional skills, gain hands‑on project experience and progress toward chartership with the ICE.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and modelling of civil engineering infrastructure including highways, drainage and earthworks.
Prepare calculations, drawings, technical reports and design documentation.
Support senior engineers with project delivery and site investigations.
Use software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or similar).
Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Contribute to sustainable, safe and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
About You
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, curious and eager to grow.
Essential:
BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering (or close to completion).
Strong understanding of core civil engineering principles.
Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new software and industry standards.
Desirable:
Previous placement or internship experience.
Familiarity with industry design software (CAD/Civil 3D/etc.).
Interest in pursuing professional accreditation (ICE).
