Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineers – Steel IndustryA recognised and rapidly growing steel company is looking to recruit both a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team.

Mechanical Maintenance EngineerResponsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on steel processing and production machinery.
Maintain hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes and pumps.
Support machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
Minimise production downtime through effective fault finding.
Requirements:
Previous mechanical maintenance experience within manufacturing, steel or heavy industry.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyors.
Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent desirable.
Electrical Maintenance EngineerResponsibilities:
Carry out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery.
Work with motors, drives, sensors, control panels and automated systems.
Fault find on PLC-controlled equipment.
Support machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Minimise downtime and maintain reliable production.
Requirements:
Previous electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing, steel or heavy industry.
Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
Experience with PLCs, inverters, motors and control systems.
NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, 18th Edition or equivalent desirable.
