How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Company

My client are a leading professional services organisation providing specialist corporate, governance and advisory services to an international client base.

With a growing portfolio of clients and an expanding pipeline of opportunities, the business is investing in its commercial capabilities to support continued growth. Its clients include large multinational and listed organisations, alongside privately owned businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an opportunity to join a growing team where client relationships, service quality and a collaborative approach are central to winning and developing business.

    Role Overview

You will play an important role in supporting the commercial growth of the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to manage prospective client relationships, coordinate proposals and RFP submissions, and help progress opportunities through the sales cycle.

This is a varied, relationship-led position combining pipeline management, new client engagement and business development, proposal development and pitch coordination.

You will work with clients and prospects ranging from large UK and US-listed businesses to international organisations headquartered in the UK and US, supporting opportunities that can involve multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in professional services or the wider financial services industry who is commercially minded, organised and keen to develop their expertise in client development within the governance sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage and maintain the commercial pipeline, ensuring opportunities, client interactions, next steps and follow-ups are accurately recorded within the CRM.

    * Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients, keeping opportunities active and maintaining regular, relevant communication.

    * Support the preparation and submission of RFPs, tenders and client proposals, ensuring documentation is accurate, professional and tailored to client requirements.

    * Coordinate pitch preparation, including developing agendas, organising materials, preparing pricing information and supporting senior colleagues ahead of client meetings.

    * Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather information, coordinate responses and ensure proposals are delivered to a high standard and within deadlines.

    * Support client meetings and pitches, helping to ensure the business presents a consistent and professional proposition.

    * Track opportunities throughout the sales cycle, maintaining momentum through effective follow-up and stakeholder coordination.

    * Assist with progressing successful opportunities through to client onboarding, including coordinating questionnaires and relevant documentation.

    * Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement with prospective clients and support the development of new commercial relationships.

    * Use CRM and prospecting tools to maintain accurate pipeline information and support effective targeting and reporting.

    * Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, proposal documentation and client engagement activity.

    Requirements

    * Experience within a professional/financial services environment, ideally in a commercial, client development capacity.

    * Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, polished and client-focused proposals and correspondence.

    * Experience supporting RFPs, tenders, pitches or other formal proposal processes would be advantageous.

    * Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, deadlines and stakeholder requirements simultaneously.

    * A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of the importance of pipeline management, follow-up and relationship development.

    * Confidence engaging with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels, building relationships and maintaining a professional client-facing approach.

    * Experience using a CRM system to record activity, track opportunities and manage follow-up actions.

    * Familiarity with prospecting and research tools such as ZoomInfo would be beneficial.

    * A proactive and target-conscious mindset, with the discipline to keep opportunities moving and ensure agreed actions are completed.

    * A collaborative approach, with the confidence to work alongside senior colleagues while taking ownership of the coordination and administration that supports successful business development.

    * A genuine interest in developing a longer-term career in client development, commercial management or professional services
