How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Contributing to drainage design and infrastructure coordination, including drainage strategies, pipe networks and associated structures.
Supporting technical documentation, design reports and records of engineering decisions.
Coordinating with colleagues, clients and other disciplines to deliver quality designs within agreed timescales and budgets.
Providing input into technical reviews, design quality and compliance.
Supporting the delivery of sustainable transport and active travel schemes.
    About You
    You'll ideally have:

Experience producing highway and infrastructure design solutions within a consultancy or engineering environment.
Experience delivering detailed highway, active travel or infrastructure designs.
Knowledge of Section 278 and Section 38 submissions, with awareness of Section 104 and Section 106 agreements.
A good working knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 and other relevant design standards.
Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, alongside relevant highway design tools such as AVT, KeySign or KeyPost.
An understanding of drainage design guidance and associated infrastructure requirements.
The ability to manage your workload, work autonomously and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Membership of ICE, CIHT or an equivalent professional body, or a willingness to work towards professional development.
