How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Contract Telephony Solutions Architect - AI Voice Agents - Inside IR35

Not another “fix the tickets” contract.

A fast-growing UK cloud telephony provider is deploying new phone systems and AI call agents for clients faster than their team can keep up, and they need people who’ve done this before: configuring and optimising real customer platforms, not just supporting them.

Contract length is expected to be up to 6 months, with an ASAP start. They are looking for 2-3 contractors. Hours are Monday to Friday, 1pm-10pm UK time, to cover the North American shift. Office attendance is 3 days a week preferred, but they will consider remote for the right person.

    What you’ll be doing

    *

Logging onto client telephony platforms, reviewing how they’re set up against the pain points that made them sign up (missed calls, no voicemail, no failover), and recommending what to change

    *

Running solution proposal calls with clients and an implementation manager, explaining the options in plain English to anyone from a local garage owner to an IT lead

    *

Configuring, testing and deploying the agreed changes yourself, end to end, with no handover to a separate install team

    *

Building and deploying AI call agents on ElevenLabs, starting with out-of-hours routing and moving into in-hours call handling

    *

Getting up to speed quickly alongside an established team of architects, with the same training as permanent staff

    What matters

    *

Hands-on experience optimising cloud telephony platforms, not just resolving support tickets. Ideally 3-4 of the main ones (8x8, Five9, RingCentral, Gamma, NetSapiens, GoTo)

    *

Alternatively, deep experience on one or two platforms plus 6-12 months building and rolling out AI call agents

    *

A consultative approach and the ability to explain call groups, queues and auto-attendants to non-technical clients

    *

Comfortable working the 1pm-10pm shift. This is non-negotiable

    *

Confident owning a client’s implementation from review through to go-live

    *

Available at short notice, as the client needs people as soon as possible

If you’ve spent years inside these platforms and want to take on a role where you configure and deploy, rather than just support, this should be of interest
