The Opportunity

We are working with a highly regarded main contractor in Edinburgh who is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The Role

Working alongside the commercial team, you will assist with the financial and contractual management of construction projects, gaining exposure to a range of commercial duties while developing your knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities will include:

Assisting with project cost control and financial reporting.

Supporting the preparation and submission of valuations.

Assisting with subcontractor procurement and payments.

*

Helping manage variations, costs and final accounts.

*

Liaising with project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Supporting the wider commercial team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who are looking to develop their career within quantity surveying and are interested in joining a reputable main contractor.

You should have a proactive approach, good communication and organisational skills, and a desire to develop your commercial knowledge within the construction industry.
