How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our Vacancy

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Property Compliance Manager to lead our response to damp, mould and other housing hazards under Awaab’s Law. This is a key role within our Repairs & Compliance team, responsible for managing complex cases, leading a small team and ensuring residents receive timely, effective solutions that keep them safe in their homes. You'll play a vital role in driving compliance, improving services and delivering excellent outcomes for both residents and the organisation.

    What you'll do

You'll lead the management of damp, mould and hazard-related cases, ensuring issues are prioritised, investigated and resolved efficiently. Working closely with surveyors, repairs teams and other stakeholders, you'll allocate cases, monitor performance, oversee customer communications and handle escalated enquiries and complaints. You'll also support audits, analyse trends, contribute to service improvements and help embed best practice and awareness of Awaab's Law across the organisation.

    What You'll Need

We're looking for someone with experience managing complex caseloads and delivering advice in challenging situations, ideally within housing, property, repairs or compliance services. You'll have excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a strong focus on customer service. Experience leading or supporting a team, alongside good analytical skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem-solving, will help you succeed in this role. Knowledge of housing compliance, risk management or social housing would be advantageous.

    Why join us

When you join Town and Country Housing, you're joining a team guided by our values, Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together. We believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels supported, included and empowered.

    What we offer

    * Contributory pension scheme up to 10% matched contributions

    * Life assurance of 4x annual salary (Terms and Conditions apply)

    * 30 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays

    * Two volunteer days per year

    * 24/7 digital GP service and counselling helpline (including face-to-face sessions)

    * Free annual eye test voucher and contribution towards glasses

    * Enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave provision

    * Flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal

    * Annual flu vaccinations

    Please read before applying:

    * You must have the right to work in the UK; we are unable to provide a visa sponsorship.

    * We reserve the right to close this advert early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.

    * This is a hybrid role where we expect all staff to come into their base office 2 days a week (everyday during induction which could be up to 3 months)

    * Please note that any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of a Enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks
