How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We're looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Support TA to work across mainstream primary schools in the Gillingham and Medway area.

This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs and can remain calm, patient and consistent when faced with challenging behaviour. You'll be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small groups of children with SEN, helping them engage with learning and manage their emotions and behaviour throughout the school day.

Leading or supporting small-group sessions for children with SEN.

Helping pupils develop positive behaviour, social skills and emotional regulation.

Managing challenging situations calmly and using appropriate de-escalation strategies.

Supporting pupils to access classroom learning and participate in school life.

Working closely with teachers and other school staff to maintain consistent support.

Being flexible and happy to work across KS1 and/or KS2.

    What we're looking for:

Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEN or additional needs, or relevant qualifications in this area.

Confidence managing difficult situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

Patience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

A valid DBS certificate or willingness to apply for a new one.

A driver is preferred, as you may need to travel between schools in the Gillingham and Medway area.

    The opportunity:

Full-time work within mainstream primary school settings.

Experience supporting a range of pupils and needs.

A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to children's confidence, behaviour and learning.
