How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health packages across projects at varying stages of development.

Working with clients, engineers and contractors, the Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor will provide detailed cost advice from early design and procurement through construction and final account. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building Services or a related discipline

Strong UK PQS / construction consultancy experience

Proven MEP cost management experience across pre- and post-contract stages

Experience preparing MEP cost plans, estimates and procurement advice

Confident managing valuations, variations and final accounts

Exposure to data centres, healthcare, defence or industrial projects would be highly advantageous

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and public health systems

Good knowledge of JCT, NEC or other relevant UK contract forms

MRICS qualified or actively progressing towards chartership

Confident client-facing communication and commercial reporting skills

Capable of managing commissions with limited supervision

Ambitious Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor looking to develop further within a specialist team

    In Return

    £75,000 - £85,000 per annum

    London-based position

Exposure to data centre, healthcare, defence and industrial projects

    Technically complex MEP workload

    Direct client and consultant interaction

    Professional development and chartership support

    International consultancy environment

    Increasing project ownership and responsibility

Clear progression for an ambitious Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
