Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician
* Carry out routine servicing, mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
* Investigate and diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and technical equipment.
* Complete vehicle health checks and highlight any recommended repairs or additional work.
* Inspect and road-test vehicles to identify issues and ensure they meet safety standards.
* Work closely with the Aftersales team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and customers receive a good level of service.
* Maintain a clean, organised working environment and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
* Share knowledge and offer support to less experienced technicians where appropriate.
* Take advantage of ongoing training to develop your technical skills and keep up with new vehicle technologies.
What We're Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 or IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Confident fault-finding and diagnostic abilities, with a methodical approach to repairs.
* A dependable, hardworking attitude and pride in producing work to a high standard.
* Someone who can work well independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
