How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful relationship and play a key role in helping a young person feel safe, engaged, and successful at school.

    What you will bring

Providing dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the student's individual needs.

Building trust and positive relationships that help the student feel confident and secure.

Supporting learning, communication, emotional regulation, and independence.

Encouraging engagement in lessons and wider school life.

Implementing behaviour, communication, and support strategies.

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to promote positive outcomes.

Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and support plans.

Ensuring the student's safety, wellbeing, and development at all times.

    What We're Looking For

You may have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Worker, or in another SEN, care, or youth support role.

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people with autism and additional needs.

Patient, empathetic, and resilient when facing challenges.

Skilled at building positive, trusting relationships.

Confident supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

A strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Organised and able to maintain accurate records.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for every student.
