How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role

Transparency Education is seeking an experienced, primary-trained teacher for a specialist setting supporting secondary-aged boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), including pupils who have experienced loss.

You’ll use your primary curriculum expertise to address gaps in learning, strengthen essential skills and rebuild confidence. Lessons should be accessible, engaging and appropriate to pupils’ ages, interests and individual starting points.

Patience, consistent boundaries and positive relationships will be central to helping pupils feel secure and ready to learn.

    About the school

The setting provides an environment shaped by trauma-informed principles, with specialist teaching and therapeutic support. Its approach recognises the connection between emotional wellbeing, positive relationships and progress in learning.

    Key responsibilities

Plan personalised lessons that strengthen literacy, numeracy and wider learning.

Adapt primary teaching approaches for secondary-aged pupils.

Establish predictable routines and support emotional regulation.

Assess progress and adapt teaching to individual needs and EHCP outcomes.

Work with support staff, therapists and families to encourage engagement.

    Requirements

To be eligible for this role and the stated pay, applicants must have:

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Primary teaching experience and secure curriculum knowledge.

Experience supporting SEMH or complex SEND needs.

Confidence responding calmly to dysregulation and challenging behaviour.

Strong communication skills and a patient, reflective approach.

Higher pay rates reflect substantial relevant experience and/or training. Pay follows school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    Why Transparency Education?

We support teachers and school support staff through attentive service and professional development, offering:

A dedicated consultant providing ongoing support and guidance.

A £150 refer-a-friend reward once your referred candidate has worked and been paid for their first 10 days.

Pay in line with AWR, including equal pay treatment where applicable.

Access to CPD through our in-house team of experienced senior leaders.
