How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are working with a highly regarded construction company specialising in bespoke, high-specification residential projects, including architect-designed new builds, luxury renovations, extensions and the restoration of historic and period properties.

With a strong reputation for quality, traditional craftsmanship and outstanding project delivery, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join its established team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be involved in delivering distinctive, high-quality projects where standards and attention to detail are paramount.

    The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of residential construction projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Working closely with clients, architects, contract managers, subcontractors and skilled tradespeople, you will oversee projects from the early stages of construction through to completion and handover.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
Coordinating subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers and deliveries to maintain an efficient workflow.
Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship, quality control and attention to detail throughout every stage of the build.
Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications and construction programmes to ensure works are delivered accurately.
Monitoring progress against agreed programmes, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
Managing site health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
Liaising professionally with clients, architects, designers and other project stakeholders.
Overseeing inspections, snagging, finishing works and the successful handover of completed projects.
Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment.
Building positive working relationships with the wider project team to ensure the successful delivery of each development. About You

We are looking for a proactive, organised and hands-on Site Manager who understands the demands of high-quality residential construction and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional finish.
    You will ideally have:

Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction, ideally on bespoke new-build homes, high-end renovations or complex refurbishment projects.
A strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent organisational and programme management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and competing priorities.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site teams effectively.
    A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
A good understanding of health and safety requirements and site compliance.
The ability to build trusted relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors and suppliers.
A professional, reliable and conscientious approach to your work. Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid, would be advantageous.

    The Opportunity

Joining an established construction business with a strong reputation for quality, you will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of distinctive residential projects, from contemporary architect-designed homes to the sensitive restoration and renovation of character properties.

You will become part of a skilled and experienced team that values craftsmanship, collaboration and getting the details right.
If you are passionate about construction, take pride in delivering outstanding results and want to work on projects where quality comes before cutting corners, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

    Interested?

If you are an experienced Site Manager looking for your next opportunity within high-end residential construction, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a brief overview of your relevant project experience to be considered for this opportunity
