How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Build your skills. Be part of something innovative. Help shape the future of aircraft seating. ✈️

At Mirus Aircraft Seating, we’re doing things differently. We design and manufacture innovative, lightweight aircraft seats for leading airlines, combining advanced engineering with a passion for quality, performance and passenger experience.

We’re looking for practical, hands-on Production Technicians to join our growing manufacturing team. If you enjoy working with your hands, following technical instructions and seeing the results of your work come together, this could be an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a specialist engineering environment.

This is more than a traditional assembly role. You’ll work with advanced materials, specialist equipment and precision assembly processes to help create high-quality aircraft seating. You’ll receive product-specific training and gain experience in a technically interesting industry where quality, teamwork and attention to detail really matter.

If you’re practical, detail-oriented and enjoy seeing a job done properly, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Bring your skills, your enthusiasm and your willingness to learn. We’ll help you build the rest.

Apply today to become part of the Mirus Aircraft Seating team.

    About the role

As a Production Technician, you’ll support different areas of our manufacturing operation, helping transform individual components and sub-assemblies into finished aircraft seats. You’ll play an important part in keeping production running smoothly and ensuring every product meets our high standards.

In your role as our Production Technician, you will demonstrate strict attention to detail, along with good organisational skills and the ability to be able to work flexibly within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment as well as:

    * Building quality products: Assembling complex electro-mechanical components and finished products in line with detailed instructions and quality standards.

    * Working with advanced materials: Supporting production processes involving carbon fibre and composite components in clean-room environments.

    * Using specialist equipment: Operating high-specification, electronically controlled assembly tools and manufacturing equipment.

    * Following technical processes: Using computer-based work instructions and sequenced assembly processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and traceability.

    * Getting it right first time: Maintaining excellent attention to detail and taking pride in producing work to the required standard.

    * Supporting the wider team: Working flexibly across production areas to help meet manufacturing priorities and delivery deadlines.

You don’t need to know everything about aircraft seating before you join us. We’re interested in people who have a practical mindset, take pride in their work and are keen to learn.

    You’ll ideally bring:

    * Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembly or a hands-on technical role.

    * Experience assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components.

    * The ability to read, understand and follow detailed written or computer-based instructions.

    * An understanding of mechanical assembly, ideally involving metal, plastic or composite components.

    * A methodical approach, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

    * The ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy and following established processes.

    * A positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are reliable, motivated and ready to learn. If you enjoy practical work and want to build on your existing skills, we’d love to hear from you.

    Why join Mirus?

Joining Mirus means becoming part of a growing business working at the forefront of aircraft seating innovation.

    * Learn new skills: Receive product-specific training and develop your knowledge of specialist manufacturing processes.

    * Work with innovative technology: Gain hands-on experience with advanced materials, precision tooling and complex assemblies.

    * See the results of your work: Contribute to products designed for use by leading airlines.

    * Be part of a team: Work alongside colleagues who share a commitment to quality, collaboration and getting the job done.

    * Enjoy a better Friday: Work until 1:00pm every Friday as part of our standard 37-hour working week.

    * Build your experience: Develop your manufacturing skills in a specialist aerospace business with opportunities to learn as the company grows.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and be a part of a company that values your skills and contributions, we encourage you to apply for our Production Technician position. Come on a journey with us and be part of shaping the future of production excellence!
