How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sales & Marketing Assistant
    Location: Lelant, TR26 3HU
    Salary: Competitive, DOE
    Contract: Full time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday to Friday 08.15 – 16.15
Tempest is one of the UK’s leading photography companies, working across school photography, graduations, cruise and military photography.
Our Sales & Marketing team promotes our services through campaigns and marketing materials, whilst focusing on developing strong customer relationships and providing ongoing support.
About the Sales & Marketing Assistant role
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and creative Sales & Marketing Assistant to support our small yet dynamic Sales & Marketing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll get involved in everything from marketing campaigns and content creation to coordinating printed materials, sourcing imagery and supporting events.
You’ll work with colleagues across the business and external suppliers, helping to keep projects on track and marketing materials accurate, up to date and ready when needed.
It’s a great opportunity to develop your marketing skills and gain experience across a broad range of activities.
    Key responsibilities
    Marketing materials & content
    * Write, edit and proofread copy for flyers, web pages, social media posts and emails.
    * Help brief the design team and coordinate artwork, feedback and proofs.
    * Help keep price lists, sales literature, intranet materials and other marketing content accurate and up to date.
    * Monitor printed literature stock with the Stores team and arrange reprints when needed.
    * Maintain the library of sample and marketing images, helping to source new imagery.
    Campaigns & digital
    * Assist with planning and delivering marketing campaigns, working with internal teams and external colleagues.
    * Build, schedule and send Mailchimp campaigns, including school photography and graduation purchase reminders, and help review their performance.
    * Update the corporate website, including adding job vacancies, policies and other content.
    * Research & product development
    * Research competitors, pricing and market trends to support marketing activity and new product ideas.
    * Research suppliers, request quotes and compare costs to help the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager assess options.
    * Help coordinate new products and supporting marketing materials through to launch.
    Events & photographer support
    * Help coordinate conference requirements with the Head of New Business Development, including materials, equipment and deliveries.
    * Order business cards, print sample images and prepare materials for photographers’ school visits.
    The person we’re looking for
    * Proactive: spots what needs doing and uses their initiative rather than always waiting to be asked.
    * Collaborative: easy to work with, happy to share ideas and enjoys working across teams.
    * Creative: enjoys coming up with ideas and contributing to marketing activity.
    * Organised: manages their workload, keeps track of details and follows things through.
    * Communicative: comfortable speaking to colleagues, customers and suppliers, with good written communication skills.
    * Adaptable: responds positively to changing priorities, feedback and the occasional last-minute request.
    Skills & experience
    * Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
    * Organised, with the ability to manage several tasks at once.
    * Comfortable using Microsoft Office and keen to learn new systems and tools.
    * An interest in marketing, communications and content creation.
    * A practical, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
    * Able to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or seek guidance.
Experience with Mailchimp, website content management systems, design processes or project management tools such as Asana would be beneficial but is not essential. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn and develop their skills.
    Thanks for reading our advert.
