How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Project Engineer | Industrial Process | Capital Projects | Remote UK | £45,000 - £70,000

A leading engineering consultancy and EPC delivering complex capital projects across the food & beverage and wider process manufacturing sectors is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join its growing engineering team.

This opportunity is likely to suit an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, EC&I Engineer or Project Engineer looking to take ownership of capital projects from concept development through to commissioning and handover.

Working within a collaborative project delivery environment, you will support the delivery of major capital investment and process improvement projects for leading manufacturing clients across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Project Engineer will include:

Managing electrical and controls aspects of capital engineering projects

Reviewing control philosophies and technical design documentation
Coordinating electrical, controls and instrumentation activities
Supporting automation and process control system implementation
Managing engineering contractors, system integrators and equipment suppliers
Client stakeholder engagement and technical leadership
    Site surveys and technical assessments
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Installation, commissioning and project handover activities
Technical documentation, reporting and project governance
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

    What We're Looking For

Experience within Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation or EC&I
Experience delivering projects within food & beverage, FMCG, manufacturing or industrial process environments
Experience developing User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Experience reviewing or approving Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA and process automation
Understanding of electrical distribution, motor control and instrumentation systems
Experience working with system integrators, OEMs and engineering contractors
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
    Practical and solutions-focused engineering approach
Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and internationally as required

    Why Join?

Work remotely from anywhere within the UK
Deliver complex capital projects within industrial process and manufacturing environments
Take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning
Work closely with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Gain exposure to UK and international projects
Join a growing consultancy and EPC business with excellent long-term career prospects
Diverse and technically challenging engineering programmes
    Supportive and collaborative working environment

    What's On Offer?

    Salary up to £70,000
    £5,500 Car Allowance
    Remote UK-Based Working
    Flexible Working Arrangements
    Pension Scheme
    Company Benefits Package
    Professional Development Opportunities
    Full Project Lifecycle Involvement
    UK and International Travel

Commutable from: Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Reading, High Wycombe, Uxbridge, Staines-upon-Thames, Woking, Guildford, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Camberley, Oxford and surrounding areas.
