How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

DLP Services Northern Ltd is looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Voids Supervisor to oversee the delivery of void property works, ensuring homes are refurbished, repaired and ready for handover within agreed timescales and to the required quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating both directly employed and subcontracted operatives, managing workloads against void schedules, monitoring performance, controlling costs and maintaining effective communication with clients.

    Key Responsibilities

Workflow and Programme Management: Develop and manage work schedules for operatives, ensuring tasks are clearly allocated and void works progress in line with agreed programmes and completion deadlines.
Site Supervision: Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Operative and Subcontractor Management: Oversee in-house and subcontracted operatives, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely and to the required standard.
Quality Assurance: Inspect ongoing and completed works, identify defects or outstanding items, and coordinate remedial actions to ensure properties are ready for handover.
Costing and Job Coding: Accurately cost and code jobs using the NATFED schedule of rates and relevant quotations, ensuring works are recorded correctly.
Variations and Additional Works: Identify additional works outside the original scope and prepare variation requests for client approval, including costings, clear written descriptions and supporting photographs.
Daily and Weekly Operational Checks: Monitor operative compliance with company procedures, including PDA usage, van checks and the accurate recording of job information.
Job Management Systems: Use the company's Epix system, or other relevant asset management systems, to record job progress, audit information and maintain accurate property and work order records.
Client Communication: Keep clients informed of progress, completion dates, additional works and any issues that may affect the delivery of the void programme.
Progress Meetings: Attend weekly client progress meetings via Microsoft Teams, providing updates on completed works, outstanding jobs, upcoming priorities and any issues requiring resolution.
Tracker Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date trackers, recording new jobs, work in progress, completed properties, outstanding actions and any changes to programme dates.
Handover Documentation: Ensure all relevant completion records, certificates and supporting documentation are collated, checked and submitted at handover, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other applicable compliance documentation.
Health and Safety: Ensure operatives and subcontractors follow safe working practices and comply with relevant health and safety requirements, risk assessments and method statements.
Programme Performance: Identify potential delays, resolve operational issues where possible and escalate risks promptly to minimise void turnaround times and support timely property handovers.

Strong organisational, communication and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple properties, clients, subcontractors and operatives.

Confidence using electronic job management or asset management systems to update records and monitor progress.
