Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a portfolio of innovation and business improvement projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, Digital, Cyber and delivery teams to understand business challenges, define requirements and ensure opportunities are properly assessed before solutions are developed, or investment decisions are made.
What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading and coordinating Business Analysis activity across innovation and business improvement projects.
Gathering, analysing and documenting business, user, data, reporting and operational requirements.
Mapping as-is and to-be processes, identifying pain points, risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
Running stakeholder workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to understand requirements and build agreement.
Producing BA documentation including requirements catalogues, user stories, use cases, process maps, data catalogues, acceptance criteria and traceability records.
Working with senior stakeholders, SMEs, process owners, Digital, Cyber and delivery teams.
Helping prioritise requirements based on business value, risk, customer impact, cost, benefit and delivery complexity.
Supporting business cases and investment decisions through structured requirements and options assessments.
Maintaining traceability requirements throughout design, build, testing, UAT, transition and adoption.
Supporting testing, business readiness and change activities.
Helping develop consistent BA standards, templates and governance across the Innovation team.

What you'll need to succeed

Strong experience delivering or coordinating BA activity across complex projects or programmes.
Excellent requirements gathering and requirements engineering experience.
Experience documenting end-to-end business processes and producing as-is/to-be process maps.
Strong knowledge of user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.
Experience facilitating workshops, interviews and stakeholder discovery sessions.
Ability to translate business problems into clear business, data, reporting and operational requirements.
Strong stakeholder management skills, including communicating with senior and technical audiences.
Understanding of the wider project life cycle, including solution design, procurement, testing, UAT, change and benefits realisation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
A relevant degree/professional qualification or equivalent practical experience within Business Analysis, technology, digital, process improvement or a related discipline.
Degree level qualification, professional qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience in business analysis (BA), requirements engineering, process improvement, data, digital, technology, innovation or a related discipline.
