How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

National Sales Manager – Wound Care

Base IRO £75-80k with commission, car / allowance and package

Are you an experienced healthcare sales leader with a strong background in wound care, tissue viability, medical devices, consumables or a closely related healthcare market?

Are you ready for a leadership role where you can build and develop a high-performing national sales team, drive commercial growth and help shape the future of an innovative business within the wound care market?

This could be an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level.

We are working with an ambitious and forward-thinking healthcare organisation that is looking to appoint an inspirational National Sales Manager to lead its sales operation and drive the next phase of growth within the wound care and tissue viability market.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company bringing new solutions, fresh thinking and innovative ideas to the market. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the national sales strategy, leading a team of Healthcare Development Managers and Account Managers, maximising the commercial potential of its product portfolio.

This is not simply a sales management role. We are looking for a commercially astute leader who can combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, develop strong customer relationships and inspire a team to deliver sustainable growth across the UK.

    Why consider the role?

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the national sales strategy, build a high-performing team and make a tangible impact on the growth and direction of an ambitious healthcare business.

You'll lead and develop Healthcare Development Managers operating across the UK, providing clear direction, coaching and support to help them achieve their individual and collective objectives.

You'll also work closely with senior leadership to identify new market opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and develop strategies that increase product adoption and market share.

With innovative wound care solutions, an ambitious growth strategy and attractive remuneration packages, this is an opportunity for an experienced sales leader to make their mark in a specialist healthcare market.

For someone who understands the wound care and tissue viability market and enjoys combining sales leadership, strategic planning, team development and commercial delivery, this role offers significant scope to make a difference.

    What you'll be responsible for

You'll lead the national sales function and drive commercial performance across the UK, including:

    * Developing and implementing the national sales strategy to achieve revenue, growth and market share objectives.

    * Leading, motivating and developing a team of Healthcare Development Managers across the UK.

    * Setting clear sales objectives, KPIs and performance expectations.

    * Coaching and mentoring team members to maximise individual performance and develop their capabilities.

    * Identifying new business opportunities and driving growth across NHS acute, community and other relevant healthcare settings.

    * Building and strengthening relationships with senior clinical, procurement and commercial stakeholders.

    * Supporting the team in developing strategic account plans and converting high-value commercial opportunities.

    * Driving product adoption and supporting formulary, pathway and procurement discussions where appropriate.

    * Monitoring sales performance, pipeline activity, forecasting and territory effectiveness.

    * Analysing market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.

    * Working collaboratively with marketing, clinical and senior leadership teams to align commercial activities with wider business objectives.

    * Establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

    * Providing regular sales performance updates, market intelligence and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team.

    What we're looking for

Proven experience in wound care or tissue viability is essential for this position.

You'll ideally bring a strong background in wound care, medical devices, healthcare consumables or a closely related clinical market, together with a successful track record in healthcare sales leadership and delivering commercial growth.

You'll understand the complexities of selling into the NHS and be comfortable leading teams that engage with clinical, procurement and commercial stakeholders across acute and community healthcare.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

    * A successful track record in healthcare sales management, ideally within wound care or tissue viability.

    * Experience leading, managing and developing a field-based sales team.

    * A proven ability to deliver against national sales targets and commercial objectives.

    * Strong strategic planning, territory management and sales execution skills.

    * Experience developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market penetration.

    * The ability to coach, motivate and inspire a team to achieve its full potential.

    * Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse performance, identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

    * Experience selling medical devices, wound care products or healthcare consumables into the NHS.

    * An understanding of NHS procurement processes, clinical pathways, formulary adoption and the challenges facing healthcare providers.

    * The ability to build credibility with senior clinical, procurement and commercial stakeholders.

    * Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

    * A proactive, entrepreneurial and results-driven approach, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on commercial involvement.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally are required.

If you're an established healthcare sales leader with experience in wound care and the ambition to lead a national team within an innovative and growing business, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
