How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

£50,000 Basic Salary + Bonuses | Career Progression | Excellent Benefits

    Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £50,000 basic per annum, with salary progression linked to the registration of a second home
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Ready to lead a children's home where quality of care comes first?

We're looking for an ambitious, compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead our solo children's home, providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for a young person with individual needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a manager who wants to make a genuine difference, build a high-quality service and grow alongside an ambitious organisation. This will be the first of 2 solo provisions to manage.

You'll have the opportunity to lead the home with the backing of an experienced senior management team, with clear opportunities for career progression as the company expands.

We believe that looking after our team is just as important as looking after the children and young people in our care.

    What we offer you

    * £50,000 basic salary – with an increase linked to the registration of our second home (65-70kpa)- both homes will operate as solo homes.

    * Occupancy and Ofsted bonuses – additional earning opportunities linked to agreed occupancy and inspection-related targets.

    * Free food and parking – practical perks to make your working day easier.

    * Funded training and qualifications – investment in your professional development and future career.

    * Casual dress – a relaxed, professional working environment.

    * Company events – opportunities to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together as a team.

    * Full support from an experienced senior team – you're never expected to manage everything alone.

    * Your birthday off – we believe birthdays should be celebrated, not spent at work. You'll have your birthday off unless exceptional circumstances make your attendance absolutely necessary.

    The role

As Registered Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, management and development of our solo children's home.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Providing strong, visible leadership and maintaining high standards of care.

    * Ensuring the home delivers safe, child-centred and individualised care.

    * Leading the staff team, including recruitment, induction, supervision and ongoing development.

    * Ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Quality Standards and relevant safeguarding requirements.

    * Preparing for Ofsted inspections and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.

    * Developing, implementing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.

    * Working collaboratively with social workers, placing authorities, families and other professionals.

    * Managing budgets, resources, staffing and the operational performance of the home.

    * Promoting positive outcomes, stability, independence and emotional wellbeing for the young person.

    * Building a positive team culture based on accountability, compassion and high expectations.

    About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong management skills with genuine passion for improving children's lives.

    You will ideally have:

    * Experience managing or supervising a children's residential care service.

    * A relevant Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent recognised qualification, as required for the role.

    * A sound understanding of children's residential care legislation, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

    * Experience leading, supporting and developing staff teams.

    * Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills.

    * The ability to manage safeguarding concerns, risk and challenging situations confidently.

    * A commitment to creating a stable, nurturing and safe home environment.

    * The drive to achieve excellent standards while supporting your team to succeed.

You must meet the applicable regulatory suitability and qualification requirements to be appointed as the Registered Manager.

    Why join us?

This is more than an opportunity to manage a home. It's a chance to help shape a growing service, influence how care is delivered and build a career with an organisation that recognises commitment and achievement.

You'll have the autonomy to lead, the support of an experienced senior team and the opportunity to progress as we develop additional homes.

We want someone who takes pride in their work, supports their staff and believes every child deserves a safe place to live, trusted relationships and the opportunity to thrive.

If you're ready for your next challenge and want to be part of a growing organisation that values both its children and its team, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today to start a conversation with us about the role.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to appropriate safer recruitment checks, references, enhanced DBS checks and other applicable regulatory requirements
