How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Office Manager (Finance & Operations)
Pure Padel Clubs Ltd | Hale, Cheshire | Full-time, permanent

Reports to: Owner and Founder, with a dotted line to the Finance Manager
Location: Head office in Hale, with regular travel to clubs, especially around new openings
Working pattern: Office-based or hybrid, with flexibility considered
Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 (depending on experience)

    About the role

Pure Padel operates 10 clubs, with around 10 more opening in 2027. The Office Manager runs the finance, payroll, people and operational admin behind the business.

The role covers hands-on bookkeeping, payroll and expenses, in-house HR administration, and getting every new club ready to open. You'll also keep our software, files and records organised as we grow. We work with an external HR consultancy, and you'll be the internal lead, bringing them in when specialist advice is needed.

This role suits someone with operations experience who wants a structured, admin-led role. Returners after a career break are very welcome.

    Key responsibilities

    Finance and bookkeeping

Process a high volume of supplier invoices: manage the invoices inbox, PO match in our inventory system, code, get approvals and import to Xero.

Reconcile bank, card and payment transactions in Xero daily.

Manage supplier accounts, statements and queries.

Prepare payment runs and make payments through online banking, covering when the Finance Manager is absent.

Support month-end, including sales postings, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.

Raise sales invoices and support debt recovery.

Maintain data integrity in the inventory system for accurate margin reporting.

    Payroll and expenses

Prepare monthly payroll data for 100+ staff for our external payroll bureau.

Collate and check hours, starters, leavers, pay changes, bonuses and commissions.

Provide data for statutory sick pay, holiday pay and final pay.

Review and sign off payroll with the Finance Manager.

Manage employee expenses, including company cards, receipts and reimbursements.

Be the first point of contact for staff pay and expense queries.

    HR and people

Act as the internal HR lead and main contact with our external HR consultancy.

Issue contracts, contract changes and offer letters.

Run onboarding so every starter's contract, right to work check, payroll details and system access are complete before day one.

Manage resignations and terminations, including paperwork, final pay and removing system access.

Be the first point of contact for employee issues, disciplinaries and grievances, escalating where needed.

    Administer recruitment through Teamtailor.

Maintain employee, absence, training and safeguarding records, and keep HR policies up to date.

    New club openings

Own the opening pack and checklist for every new club, covering equipment, IT, signage, uniform and supplies.

Work with the new sites lead on timelines so nothing is missed before launch.

Order and set up IT, tills and phones, and add new sites and staff to company systems.

Set up supplier accounts and coordinate first orders.

    Systems and admin

Administer company software, including RotaGeek, Elmo, Teamtailor, Agility and Microsoft 365.

Manage user access and company logins securely.

Keep company files, contracts, insurance documents and leases organised.

Maintain the IT asset register and software subscriptions.

Provide general admin support to the senior team.

    What we're looking for

    Essential

Bookkeeping or accounts admin experience, including high-volume invoice processing.

    Payroll experience.

    Operations or office management experience.

Confident with Xero, Excel and Microsoft 365.

Understanding of UK GDPR and handling confidential data.

Highly organised, discreet and comfortable owning tasks end to end.

    Desirable

HR admin experience in a multi-site business.

Hospitality, leisure or retail operations experience.

Experience with PO, inventory, HR or rota systems.

Knowledge of statutory sick pay and holiday pay rules.

AAT, CIPD or similar, at any level.

This role handles highly confidential information, including payroll, banking and employee data, so discretion is essential
