How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEND Sixth Form / College Teacher

    Location: Bolton
    Role: 6th Form SEND Teacher

Are you passionate about helping young people develop their confidence, independence and skills for the future?

Premier Education is delighted to be recruiting for a fantastic specialist SEND school and college in Bolton, looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work with a small Sixth Form class.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

    About the Class

You will be teaching a small group of students aged between 16 and 19, all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Students communicate verbally, although some benefit from additional visual support, including symbol-supported worksheets and timetables.

The students are currently working between Entry Levels 1 and 2, with teaching tailored to their individual abilities, learning styles and aspirations.

With such a small class, you'll have the opportunity to really get to know your students, build positive relationships and celebrate their progress.

    What We're Looking For

A qualified teacher with QTS or a relevant recognised teaching qualification.

A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach.

A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.

The ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities.

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Experience teaching students with ASC or within a specialist setting would be beneficial.

    Why Apply?

A small class of just 6 students.

A friendly, welcoming and supportive specialist setting.

The opportunity to deliver meaningful, personalised learning.

A rewarding role helping young people build confidence and independence.

Dedicated support from Premier Education throughout your placement.

This role could suit an experienced SEND teacher, a secondary or post-16 teacher looking for a new challenge, or a teacher interested in moving into specialist education.

    Interested?

We'd love to tell you more about this fantastic opportunity!

Apply today or contact Amy at Premier Education for a friendly, informal conversation.

Premier Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be subject to appropriate safeguarding and compliance checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
