The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer or Construction Plant Mechanic looking for your next opportunity?
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Mobile & Workshop Plant Fitter to join their team, maintaining and repairing a large fleet of construction equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience working on plant machinery who enjoys fault-finding, carrying out repairs and keeping essential equipment operating efficiently.
The Role
As a Mobile & Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a varied fleet of construction plant machinery, working across both mobile and workshop-based environments.
The fleet includes:
Excavators ranging from 800kg to 14 tonnes
Dumpers, including tracked dumpers and machines up to 9 tonnes
Telehandlers
Rollers
Other construction plant and equipmentKey Responsibilities
Carry out planned maintenance and servicing of construction plant machinery
Diagnose faults and undertake mechanical repairs
Identify and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently
Maintain machinery to ensure it operates safely and reliably
Work on a varied fleet of plant equipment, both in the workshop and in mobile settings
Help minimise equipment downtime through effective maintenance and repair workAbout You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Mobile Plant Engineer or similar
Experience maintaining and repairing construction plant machinery
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs
The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
A strong commitment to health, safety and maintaining equipment to a high standardInterested?
