How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

First round interviews will take place online on 9/10 November, with second round interviews taking place in-person on 19 November.

    About Stonewall

We are Stonewall: a leading LGBTQ+ charity working to make the world a safe and equal place for LGBTQ+ people to live, work and thrive. Everyone, everywhere, deserves equal rights.

    The Role

After successfully relaunching Proud Employers last year, we are now actively looking to grow the programme, with a Workplace Sales and Marketing Manager playing a central role in achieving this. You will take a lead on delivering the income strategy, holding responsibility for sales of our workplace services and the renewal of existing income. You will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge on LGBTQ+ inclusion by supporting the wider workplace team to deliver excellent programmes to our clients.

Reporting to the Workplace Programmes Lead, you will line manage the Programmes Officer and Administrator.

    Key responsibilities:

Lead the sales of Stonewall’s workplace inclusion services to meet ambitious income targets, working with leaders across the charity to create and execute the overall income strategy

Take responsibility for identifying new prospects, cultivating relationships and securing sales to a range of prospective clients

Direct the Proud Employers renewals process, driving the Proud Employers team forward to meet, and exceed, ambitious retention targets throughout the year

Identify, attend and speak at events, using excellent networking skills to promote Stonewall’s inclusion services to new audiences

Own and continue to develop the systems, processes and high-quality collateral which empowers people within and outside of the team to sell our products effectively

Develop and deliver effective marketing collateral and campaigns for our workplace services, particularly targeting key growth sectors

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organisation including the fundraising team to drive corporate partnerships and with the operations team to ensure effective reporting and data driven decision making

Support the delivery of Stonewall’s workplace programmes where required including speaking and facilitating on our behalf

    What We’re Looking For

A strong understanding of and commitment to LGBTQ+ equality and Stonewall’s commitment to trans inclusion and race equity

A confident communicator who can tailor their style and approach to build strong relationships internally and externally

A positive, proactive and problem-solving approach, committed to delivering consistently to a high standard

A commitment to continued learning and development for yourself and those around you with a willingness to challenge and be challenged

An excellent collaborator who is willing to be flexible and generous in their support of others

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships

Strategic business development skills with the ability to set direction, provide support and drive income both personally and by working with others

Strong income generation skills with the ability to identify and steward varied prospects to drive income as well as contribute to marketing activity

High-quality communication and facilitation skills with the ability to convey complex information in a way that is relevant, understandable and practical for different audiences

Strong project management and process development skills with the ability to deliver to a high standard and continue to implement improvements

A good understanding of how equality and diversity practices function in a wide variety of organisations

Ability to use CRM and other systems to maintain records, automate processes and process data

Some event management skills with the ability to deliver smaller events to a high standard that focuses on inclusion and accessibility

    Benefits

25 days of annual leave, rising by 1 additional day for each year of service up to a maximum of 30 days (pro rata for 9 day fortnight)
