How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: South West London, office-based, with client visits as required

Are you a proven new-business winner?

JORECRUITMENT LIMITED is an established recruitment agency supplying temporary and permanent staff to clients across local government, education,

    catering, hospitality and facilities management.

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Executive who knows how to identify prospects, approach decision-makers,

develop client relationships and convert opportunities into new business.

This is a genuine business development role for someone who enjoys winning new clients and can demonstrate a track record of success in outbound sales.

Recruitment agency business development experience is particularly desirable.

    The opportunity

You will play a key role in expanding our client base, developing new revenue streams and strengthening our position in our target markets.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with local authorities, schools, multi-academy trusts, catering providers and other organisations requiring

reliable temporary and permanent recruitment services.

Working directly with the Managing Director and recruitment team, you will take ownership of the new-business pipeline and help convert sales

opportunities into active, profitable client accounts.

    Key responsibilities

    * Identify, research and target prospective recruitment clients.

    * Proactively generate new business through telephone prospecting, personalised emails, professional networking and follow-up.

    * Build relationships with HR managers, procurement teams, school business managers, operations directors and other decision-makers.

    * Arrange and conduct client meetings, needs assessments and service presentations.

    * Convert prospects into new client accounts, signed terms of business and actual staffing orders.

    * Develop new opportunities within local authorities, schools, MATs, catering, hospitality and facilities management.

    * Identify public-sector tender opportunities, recruitment frameworks, preferred supplier lists and approved supplier arrangements.

    * Re-engage dormant accounts and identify opportunities to increase business with existing clients.

    * Prepare proposals, quotations and capability presentations in accordance with agreed pricing and approval procedures.

    * Maintain accurate prospect records, sales pipelines, forecasts and activity reports.

    * Work closely with the recruitment team to turn client vacancies into successful placements.

    * Achieve agreed business development, new-account and gross-profit targets.

    What we are looking for

    Essential

Demonstrable experience in outbound B2B sales, business development or new-client acquisition.

Evidence of personally winning new customers or contracts.

Excellent telephone, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Confidence approaching senior decision-makers and handling objections.

Strong organisation, commercial awareness and follow-up discipline.

Ability to manage a sales pipeline and work towards measurable targets.

Good written communication and IT skills.

    Desirable

Experience in recruitment agency business development.

Knowledge of temporary and permanent staffing solutions.

Experience selling to local authorities, schools, MATs, catering contractors or facilities management companies.

Understanding of recruitment margins, terms of business, procurement frameworks and PSL arrangements.

An existing professional network in one or more of our target sectors.

    What success looks like

You will build a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects, generate meaningful sales conversations, secure new client accounts and convert

opportunities into staffing orders that produce profitable revenue.

We will provide a clear target-market strategy, access to our existing business credentials and client experience, and direct support from the Managing Director.

    Reward and progression

The salary is £30,000, with an additional performance-related bonus linked to agreed commercial results. The role offers scope to take increasing responsibility

for business development and account growth as the company expands.

    How to apply

Please submit your CV with a short covering statement describing:

    1. The new clients or contracts you have personally won.

    2. Your approach to generating business through outbound sales.

    3. The sales results you have achieved, including revenue or gross profit where available.

    4. Why you believe you can help JORECRUITMENT grow.

JORECRUITMENT LIMITED is committed to fair recruitment and equal opportunities. Applications will be assessed against the requirements and evidence relevant to the role
